This was a very special commission. Sharon asked me to make a portrait bust of her late husband, Joe. I went to visit her and we talked about what kind of person Joe was, his compassionate nature and his zest for life. I worked from photos Sharon provided and tried to capture Joe's personality in the clay. Realising what this bust represents, it means a lot to have been trusted with the task of making it.
