In 2025 I began exploring the emotional landscape of longing through seemingly inanimate beings like mannequins and androids. Despite being stripped of organic human features, they still seem capable of emotion. In a post-industrial world where A.I. is increasingly treated as a companion whereas online human relationships are increasingly considered "unreal," these works question "what is real?" in a post-industrial world where screens increasingly dictate our daily lives.
